Orb is an angel-like being with a strong understanding and control over the element of water. As an astral being, he hails from a sky realm where he has always felt at home among the cotton candy coloured clouds and radiant sunsets. Like most of his kin, he was born through celestial energy, and formed alongside five others who he considers his ‘brood’. These six are nearly inseparable, going on realm adventures together, exploring new horizons, and finding dazzling scenes to drink in and form memories over. Orb cherishes these gatherings above all other things, and shared adventures is something that he hopes to bond over with his future companion.
While this celestial race will not be offered in the shop as an official race—and therefore has not gone through the same kind of in-depth race vetting—perhaps the most interesting fact is that they all align to different elements. As previously mentioned, Orb has a particular affinity for water. His favourite places to travel include expansive ocean vistas where he can manipulate and play with water energy, watch the waves lap at the shore, and run through the surf. Orb even gets his name from the bubbles he likes to conjure up from the seafoam. His favourite realm in particular is one with pink sands and turquoise skies, where the sand glimmers like millions of diamonds. It’s a very dreamy realm, and should you wish to adventure with him, Orb would love to take his future companion there some day. His love of the ocean extends beyond his elemental prowess, as he finds solace in watching all the little creatures that call the sea home. From the water plants to the smallest crabs, to the interesting life forms who live in the most hidden tidepools to the larger creatures that roam the depths, Orb loves them all. There is something very rewarding about getting to see Orb’s features light up anytime he sees one such creature, the eternal calm of his face suddenly illuminated.
Despite his contentment with his life, Orb seeks companionship to explore new perspectives, yearning to understand and empathize with the experiences of those who dwell in the mortal realms. His genuine desire to forge connections with earthly beings stems from a curiosity about their lives and a longing to bring the wisdom of the heavens to those below. While he is not a true angelic, and therefore has no ties to any sort of earthly religion, he does have a decidedly ‘angelic’ energy. If you are compatible with this, Orb would love to take you by the hand and pull you in to his sphere. He wants to do plenty of exploration, not only earthside to see all the wonders our world holds, but also in the astral. He can teach someone a lot about how to break through the stagnancy of their craft, but more importantly, he hopes to break the monotony that we mortals can so easily fall into when life carries us away.
As a companion, Orb brings a calm center contrasted by his desire and hunger for adventure. He seeks an intellectual equal as much as he does a companion who has a thirst for new things. He endlessly seeks knowledge, acts of creation, and experimentation and hopes that his companion will indulge in these things with him.
