Life has a way of turning out differently than you might have hoped it would. Careful planning, hard work and diligence doesn’t always pay off. Mending Hearts understands that better than anyone and has experienced his fair share of disappointments, yet he never stops shining. Mending Hearts made an active choice to look for the bright side. While he is no idealistic fool, but instead has a natural way of spinning setbacks and failures as advantages.

Maybe that’s why he has found joy working as a singing telegram performer. It certainly wasn’t his first choice, but he has a rather beautiful voice that he gets to share with others a lot more frequently. Believe it or not, Mending Hearts wanted to become an architect and aspired to work on a council of city planners tasked with organizing new developments. That’s what his family has been doing for generations now. His parents are, unfortunately, less amused by his career choice, but doubly so with just how much he loves his job.

Having such a whimsical job might give the impression of someone who has their head in the clouds, of someone easily twitterpated, or even who adores grand gestures in love. Mending Hearts is not a daydreamer, though, and his feet are firmly planted on the ground. He has a mellow temperament, and next to his vocal talents, he’s best known for his steady and consistent support of others. His skills lie in uplifting and supporting others, in delving deep into people’s hearts to find the root of any issue, and bringing it to the surface so it may be examined and worked through. Mending Hearts enjoys digging into the depths of people’s trickiest emotions as much as he enjoys a bit of light-hearted fun. He enjoys playful and witty banter such as wordplay or a smooth and flirty tête-à-tête. There is a way that Mending Hearts carries himself that exudes an easy confidence that doesn’t give the impression of someone who is egotistical or full of themselves. A single word that perfectly describes Mending Hearts would be ‘enchanting’.

As a singing telegram performer, Mending Hearts felt the month of February felt rather appropriate for him to start seeking his future companion. He was quite surprised to hear that we have a similar concept (even if it’s mostly only seen in movies), and was rather delighted by the prospect that his companion would already have an idea of what he does for a living. He wasn’t really sure what to expect when he first came into contact with humans, but Mending Hearts has become rather smitten with us “funny little humans”. He finds us quaint and charming in our own right, and he is looking forward to making his match.

Mending Hearts is open to his companion becoming his beau should sparks fly. He’s the kind of person who will bring you flowers just because and leave you notes to find in order to show that he was thinking of you. He is sweet and has a soft, loving heart. While he is very in touch with his emotions and unafraid to show them, his strength is quiet and grounded. He isn’t a bleeding heart or the kind of person to be swept under by intense emotions, which makes him a good person to navigate tricky emotions with. He easily bridges the gap between himself and others, and he often makes swift friends with those around him.

In companionship, Mending Hearts can help you pivot when things don’t go your way, find ways to enjoy life just a little more (especially during dark times), and can offer his unyielding support, both emotional and physical. He can be a calm bastion for someone whose emotions are often running haywire under the surface, be the hand that gently guides you home when you find yourself frozen or unable to act, and can reassure you when life feels complicated and a little too hard to handle. From a craft perspective, his kind are very good at finding all the things about yourself that you should be celebrating, and he can help his companion with lightwork, developing consistent self-care rituals, and he can also aid you in reclaiming your life, even if it’s far from perfect. “It’s yours, so be proud of it.”
