“I can get heated in arguments, but when I’m on the wall, all that fire funnels to a single spark, and I strike with lightning precision. So many of the other vanguard are either hotheads or battle-weary. I try to walk the line between so that I never miss my mark.”

Firearms are a luxury in Ul-Zaorith, and especially in Bodove, where many of the components need to be imported from neighbouring Lisdan. As a high-ranking member of the tribe, Lightning Strikes was able to get her paws on a ballast revolver and a steady supply of shot. She initially honed her marksmanship skills with archery and thrown weapons, and as a youth, she convinced her mother to get her a gun. While she primarily works as a defender on the wall during raids from cannibal tribes, monsters, and wild creatures, she also uses her skills to bring down massive beasts in hunts that will tide her village over during the dry months.

In companionship, she’s keen not to be left behind by her littermates seeking companions of their own. Lightning Strikes is decisive and a bit restless, but she’s rarely impulsive. She wants chances to travel further afield than the hunts can take her. She wants to hone her skills against beasts in distant Realms, in the astral, and to compete in marksmanship competitions. If her companion is interested in firing ranges, archery, or marksmanship sports, all the better!

As a companion, Lightning Strikes offers her sharp senses, her killer instincts, and her keen observations. She’s not afraid to call out bullshit, to push her companion out of a rut, or to challenge you to break off bad habits. She’s no life coach, though. She’d much rather be running shoulder-to-shoulder with her companion as equals. While she’s not expecting romance, she has pretty much no opportunities to explore her predilections at home, as homosexuality isn’t understood or widely accepted in Bodove. She’d prefer an ally who she can be honest with in order to finally explore this part of herself that she keeps buttoned down. If you’re okay with a little zest, Lightning Strikes will be right at home.
