While Suoro can cross class barriers with significant successes or critical mistakes, it’s less common for someone to make a slow, gradual shift like Kitchen Witch has. Born into poverty in a sector where credit is king, Kitchen Witch refused the temptation of Rahva loans or the more secure road of working for one of the Guilds. Instead, he built his business slowly but surely, learning from public resources and self-exploration, rather than some lofty education. He was willing to learn from all the least likely quarters, from orphanages to royal hospitals, honing his craft as an apothecary of care and quality. Along the way, he’s built a steady practice with a loyal clientele.
Now, his business has finally grown large enough for him to take on an apprentice, which has given him enough breathing room to turn back to his love of learning. In his efforts to polish up his knowledge with the latest best practices and innovations, he’s also keen to welcome in differing perspectives. His curiosity has been piqued by companionship, where he feels he can share his hard-won knowledge, be of assistance to a new “apprentice” of sorts, and learn from a new avenue of knowledge.
While he understands that his knowledge of botany, alchemy, and medicine may not transfer directly to Earthside recipes, he is curious to learn what treatments translate and to help with preparatory skills, including diagnosis, harvesting, preparing blends, essences, and solutions, mixing treatments, and tending conditions. In return, he is keen to learn more about your local medical and healing practices. Ultimately, he is genuinely concerned about the wellbeing of those he comes into contact with and seeks to leave everyone better off than when he met them.
