"I give you this to take with you: Nothing remains as it was. If you know this, you can begin again, with pure joy in the uprooting."
– Judith Minty
Please note that all Racial Tome entries are based on Ember's personal UPG and may not reflect yours. Crystalline Watchers, in this incarnation, are exclusive to Three Souls.
Crystalline Watchers have six wings made out of crystal which can be any colour, as well as “winged” ears. They come from one of the higher realms of Alt Earth (Gaia), and have described themselves as winged watchers, keeping an eye over the humans of Gaia and serving as metaphysical guardians and protectors. I tend to look out for those who find themselves easily enamored by humans, and so companionship offers them a great chance to get up close and personal with humans and build lasting relations instead of fleeting and stolen moments of quiet observation.
It is not uncommon for Crystalline Watchers to mingle and mate with human-like beings within their own world, and while they can’t stay for long on Gaia's physical plane due to incompatibilities in energy type, these exchanges have led to the creation of an entirely separate species of half-angel half-human beings who must choose between their angelic origins or their human roots, and can either "ascend" or "fall", which basically means they will either live in the higher realm or remain "human". Crystalline Watchers live primarily in the Above and only come down from the angelic realms to mingle and enjoy the pleasures of human-kind. They are able to astral travel with quite a bit of ease, sending a sort of energetic body that is ambiguous in gender as their “representation”. These forms usually lack strong features of any kind, and look like glowing shadows of gold or silver, but they can adjust the "signal" so to speak if they feel like it in order to give a clearer glimpse of what they actually look like to the people they choose to show themselves to. With well attuned Sight, you will see that these beings look like angels carved from gemstones, which is how they earned their race nickname.
